I had wrote on here before about loans, and people answered but not what Im looking for, for one I am not in collage and for 2 I can’t get a job because I don’t have any work experience enough to work anywhere else I been applying for jobs like you wouldn’t believe, but I don’t get them because I don’t have the work experience to get the job I can’t do volunteer work because it takes gas money with out a job I can’t get gas money, or a babysitter to do volunteer work, so I am aware of earning the money first but that’s impossible if they won’t hire me, for 3 my credit history is bad and I know they won’t give me a personal loan, I can’t get a student loan I have tryed but because the CNA classes are NOT done by any collage because they are only 6 months classes I can’t get a student, loan because you have to have a school code to get a student government grant but there are NO schools that do the classes only nursing homes, and education centers they do not have a school code that’s just how that works, so that answers some of your questions but I am asking if there is any real loans for mothers who don’t have anything for me to go to schools I need a loan or something of that sort that I can get then pay back in a 6 month period after I get a job being a CNA is there any?

Open Question: How can I negotiate a lower interest rate on a personal loan?

This is actually a question for my boyfriend…
He is trying to pay off a personal loan for $15,000 on an interest rate of 16%. Obviously he has not put a dent in this with such a high rate, and the worst part of it is that he’s paying for 4 cars he doesn’t even have anymore (2 accidents and 2 that just died)! So now, car lesss and all, he’s struggling to pay off these loans at $350 a month. We live in Australia and I’m American (new here) and am not sure how it works here because the credit system is very different.
Another option is to claim bankruptcy, but this is a last resort.
We’d appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Open Question: What do I need to do now about cleaning my credit?

I am so tired right now. I have paid for everything with cash in the last 5 years. I have several collection accounts, credit cards that are marked as charged off, and medicals personal loans and now I have student loans that were supposed to be in default and they aren’t! What else can go wrong? I’m 35 and need to buy a house. I earn 80,000 a year and can’t seem to get my credit together. I have paid a company 100 a month to clear my credit but it seems as though it was a waste! Most of my collections are over 5 yrs old. Should I just sit around for 2 more years and hope they fall off or should I just pay them off and hope that it doesn’t update my negative credit trying to do “the right thing”!! I’m a complete mess. I pay rent of 975 a month along with lights, water, electricity, cable and can’t get a home in my own name!! I’m never late on these items either. Whats really frustrating is that I just got an orchard bank card, a secured credit card through my credit union and opened up a loan in a furniture store to help fix my credit and it has actually dropped 56 points!! Why? Can I get some serious answers to resolve my situation please? I really need help. I’m willing to do whatever it takes.
Open Question: How Can I pay off my debt, and stop my shopaholic problem?

Sorry this may be a bit long winded but it has been over the course of about three years. My life is hectic because I’ve been going to school to get my Business Degree for the past two years, and I’m on to my third year now. I never wanted to get a student loan, so I just kept my job and worked and went to school. My job is part time but its at least 4-5 nights a week sometimes so it was really hard doing full time classes along with work, so I started taking my classes part-time, as well as I found I never had enough for tution.
Anyway I bought a used car during this time for 7500. At the time I had a car loan – I had it paid down to about 3775. At the same time I had a credit card bill that was nearing $2000 dollars as I had been paying for tution and school fees on credit because I wasn’t saving enough from my job to cover school.
So my boyfriend advised me to take out a student line of credit for $10,000 and consolidate my debt. I didn’t think this was too good of an idea, because I know what I’m like with money and I know I shouldn’t have access to large amounts otherwise I get silly with my spending habits. Sure enough, here I am today I still owe about $1500 to Credit Cards. And my line of credit Balance owing is $7333.00 – and soon to be more more as in September I have to pay my tution with that line of credit. So I will almost have it maxed out.
I currently live at home, and had been paying rent over the summer but I don’t think my parents will make me pay during the year. I do help out alot with cooking and buying groceries, and I buy most of my own food.
So basically my expenses are food, gas, car insurance ($120 monthly), and tution which is $2000 a semester. My usual pay cheque is anywhere from $500-650 every two weeks. I also have a very bad habit of spending alot of money on clothes, makeup, and things that I feel like I need – like shampoo, and personal grooming things, as well as enterainment for the month. I always say to myself not to spend money, and I usually buy things that are cheap but somehow all my money is always gone and I’m left with all this debt.
I’m really starting to get scared and I feel like I just owe owe owe, and I don’t know where to start or how to budget my life and start paying these debts when I hardly make any money.
Does anyone have any good advice for me, for a student trying to cut down spending and pay down debt? I also have this compulsive need to go to the mall and buy something everytime that I do, kind of like a shopaholic problem, its really bad.
Thank you!
Resolved Question: Is it wrong to offer my daughter $5,000 to have a very simple wedding ceremony instead of a 300+ affair?

The deal in our family has always been that when you get married you pay for it yourself. We set up a college fund for our daughter and since she got scholarships, she was able to have $30,000 left over. We turned this over to her last year when she graduated. She is an elementary teacher and her fiance is the youth director for our church. Neither will ever make a lot of money, but they enjoy their jobs. He owes student loans and a car loan. My daughter is driving a 12 year old car and needs a new one. Her fiance has a large family and LOTS of friends whose weddings he has been in recently, so he is the one who wants the big wedding and to invite everyone in our church. My personal opinion is that large weddings and funerals are both a waste of money that could be better spent on necessary items like a car or paying off loans. Thus, I offered $5,000 to my daughter to go ahead and marry this fine young man now without all the hoopla and planning of a spring wedding, plus they would get the tax break of married filing for 2010. I made it clear to my daughter that this offer is strictly from me and was not run by her father or involves him in any way. My husband is appalled that I would even suggest such a thing and calls it highly insulting to our daughter. I thought it was practical and financially responsible. Your thoughts please.
I’m seeing that I need to butt out of my daughter’s life, which is good. I guess I was reacting to my own feelings of having spent too much on my own wedding just to please my husband and his mother, rather than the wedding I wanted. I think I was trying to give my daughter more of a bargaining reason with her fiance to scale down.
