Open Question: can i get a personal loan?

i have applied for a 8,000 loan with my bank, i have about 1.200 worth of defaults for electricity, austar and radio rentals i have started to pay off two off them in the last couple of weeks. i want to loan the money for a car and to pay off my debts. is it likley i will get the loan??
