Open Question: Does anybody know of a legit lender for personal loans if you have bad credit?

Hi,
I am in need of a personal loan of about $50,000; my husband and I have hit a few bumps in the road so we have bad credit but I would like to use the money to purchase a car which I am in dire need of and to pay off credit card bills so we can get back on track. I know there are many scams out there so if you know of a legit lender with decent interest rates I would appreciate your help. Thanks
